Victoria E. Kühnhardt
Victoria Elisabeth Kühnhardt was born in Germany in 1996. She has, with her German father, Hungarian mother and younger brother, lived in different places around the world, including Washington DC, Stanford, Brisbane, Seoul and Oxford. During her school year in Oxford in 2005, Victoria’s passion for writing blossomed and her first children’s book, The Enchanted House in the Woods, came into existence. It was self-published in 2008.
Victoria started to not only enjoy writing prose but also poetry and short-stories. Her passion for poetry and short-stories was triggered in a creative writing class during her school year in Washington D.C. at the School Without Walls in 2011. Victoria finished her High School in Bonn and completed her studies in English and Primary School Teaching at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt in Bavaria and the University of Aberdeen . In 2018 Victoria returned to Oxford to study the MA in Creative Writing at Oxford Brookes University and graduated in 2019.
Apart from The Enchanted House in the Woods, Victoria has self-published a collection of unfinished short-stories and poems called Wolkenschloss (2013, Bouvier Verlag Bonn) as well as her first teen-evolved novel Secrets (2018, Austin Macauley Publishers). In 2020, Victoria published her poem - a heartfelt love song - Budapest Blues with Hungarian Literature Online, after having spent a quarter year in Budapest to acquire her mother-tongue and journey back to her roots.
